From a departure of the usual monthly meetings, 29 AFUNPI members met at Rangoli Garden situated at Jakkur in North Bangalore on the 8th of January 2024. Rangoli Garden showcases rural life in Karnataka with life size sculptures that look almost real. The recreated village life shows people in their abodes, pursuing their various occupations, following cultural traditions and observing their religious events. In short, the entire gamut of a village life, its political and social structure, economy, food habits, recreational activities are shown in a wonderful and meaningful settings. It took a better part of the morning session to go around the Garden followed by a sumptuous lunch that was cooked and served in the traditional North Karnataka Style. Thanks to Mrs. Rita Chhablani and Mrs. Sushma Jaiswal for sponsoring the event and making it a memorable visit.
